Sean Johnson began his design career in 1985 when working for the renowned architecture and interior design firm Beyer Blinder Belle during his studies at Pratt Institute, from which he graduated in 1988.

At this prestigious firm Mr. Johnson worked on large projects such as the Henri Bendel flagship store on 5th Avenue, Barneys New York, and the renovation of the interior of Grand Central Terminal. Upon establishing his own firm in 1992, Sean Johnson designed the renovation of a 20,000 square foot, Georgian Revival style townhouse in Manhattan, and ventured on to build an expansive portfolio that includes private homes on Park and Fifth Avenues, country homes in the Hamptons, and several vacation estates and large multi-family condominium projects in Naples, Florida.

Work by Sean Johnson Interior Decoration often defies categorization. For example, in one project the firm's work accommodated a significant Chinese art and furniture collection within a family's New York duplex apartment. In another, for a major New York City developer, Mr. Johnson designed an ultra-contemporary interior which features a spectacular cantilevered staircase, state-of-the-art kitchen, at-home gym, and comprehensive media room. Yet another project took on an eastern tone, being designed louboutin berlin around an eclectic mix of European, Asian, and Moroccan antiques, as well as objets d'art and artwork by significant mid-century designers such as Laverne and Robert Gossens. The firm's ability to accommodate a true diversity of tastes, atmospheres, and specific collections of fine art makes them a favorite of discriminating clients who value a design studio whose comprehensive understanding of the history of style and art results in highly developed environments of rich sophistication.

Sean Johnson's extensive experience and expertise has led the firm to larger projects both in the New York region and in Florida. Currently on the boards is the finalization of design and construction documents for an exclusive new multi-family development at 79 Irving Place. It is an elegant, understated, and modern building that features ten full-floor apartments. In Naples, Florida the firm is selecting finishes for a seventy unit ocean-front complex featuring 4,500 square foot condominiums. At this project, the firm is also designing the building's lobby, spa, and pool lounge.
